Short Duration High-Amperage Pulse and Low-Rate Long-Duration Deep-Cycle Drains

ODYSSEY® drycell batteries combine in one box the characteristics of two separate batteries. These non-spillable batteries provide both short-duration high-amperage pulse and low-rate long-duration deep-cycle drains. Typical starting, lighting and ignition (SLI) batteries can do one or the other, but not both.

Using drycell technology, they are capable of providing enormous engine-cranking cranking power -- pulses in excess of 2250A for 5 seconds. They also easily and repeatedly recover from deep discharge -- 400 charge/discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge.
